ROSEVILLE — November 3, 2026. Roseville’s battery recycling program lets residents take used household batteries to designated municipal sites or request an approved free pickup.

Where residents can drop them

The city lists Downtown Library at 225 Taylor Street, Civic Center at 311 Vernon Street, Maidu Library and Community Center, Riley Library and other city-owned locations as participants.

Prevent short circuits

Roseville asks people to tape exposed battery terminals before collecting or delivering batteries. Damaged or swollen batteries may require special handling; confirm rules rather than putting them into a normal drop-off bin.

Curbside option

The city advertises a free request process for certain household hazardous waste and electronics, including batteries. Use the program’s online request form and confirm service rather than setting waste out without an appointment.
